Wael Khoury
Founder & Managing Director
With more than 20 years of experience across the GCC and international markets, Wael Khoury has built his career at the intersection of people, leadership, and organizational transformation. His journey has taken him from HR and consulting roles with organizations including EY, Al Mana, Deloitte, and Ooredoo to founding Lopez Khoury & Associates (LKA) in 2024.
Today, as Founder and Managing Director of LKA, Wael works alongside leaders and organizations to strengthen leadership, transform HR, and build the structures and capabilities needed for lasting performance. Beyond LKA, he remains actively involved in developing the region’s HR and leadership community through the GCC HR & Leadership Center, Hacking HR, and Transform.
At the heart of his work is a simple ambition: to create transformation that stays by helping organizations build stronger leaders, stronger cultures, and capabilities that continue creating value long after the engagement ends.
Margaret Michael
With a career spanning HR transformation, organizational learning, and capability development, Margaret Michael brings extensive experience helping complex, multi-country organizations turn people strategy into meaningful action. Her journey has included working with EY and leading enterprise-wide learning and capability initiatives, developing a strong understanding of how people, systems, and strategy come together to shape organizational performance.
Today, as Human Capital Consulting Manager at LKA, Margaret works with organizations to build stronger capabilities, improve the way people and teams operate, and prepare them to navigate change with greater clarity and confidence.
At the heart of her work is a commitment to making transformation practical, evidence-based, and lasting. She strives to create solutions that do more than address an immediate challenge, building the skills, systems, and organizational readiness that allow people and businesses to continue growing long after the work is complete.
Elian Bernales
A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, Elian Bernales began his journey with LKA as an intern after connecting with the firm through the Education City Job Fair. Since then, he has grown into a permanent member of the team, developing his experience in human capital consulting while contributing to LKA’s own growth in the region.
Today, as a Human Capital Associate, Elian supports the development and delivery of practical people and organizational solutions, bringing a fresh perspective, curiosity, and a willingness to continuously learn to the challenges LKA takes on with its clients.
His journey is driven by a desire to keep growing alongside the organizations and people he works with, turning new ideas into meaningful solutions while developing into the next generation of human capital leaders in the region.
